Pediatric Training Class Completed!

By August 16, 2013No Comments

Since our most recent pediatric training class, or IMCI (Integrated Management of Childhood Illness) class wrapped up at the end of July, we’ve been so excited to find out and share details with all of our generous donors and supporters who made it possible!

11 doctors from Hue and from neighboring A Luoi district attended this course. Their experience in the medical field ranged from 6 months to 19 years. All of the doctors attending the course expressed a deep passion for serving and caring for local people and improving their own skills as medical professionals. More than half traveled from A Luoi, a under-resourced region about 75 km from urban Hue. All of the participants are eager and dedicated to using their new training and knowledge to help eradicate childhood illness and suffering. The regions that MEDRIX has reached with IMCI training have seen significant reductions in childhood illnesses, so we are excited to observe similar results in A Luoi!

Medical training and research like this could not be possible without you! We sincerely thank our wonderful supporters and donors committed to bringing education and development in Southeast Asia. Please consider donating to MEDRIX today to help us fund future trips like this one!
