MEDRIX is moving full swing into the new year. We are planning project trips to Vietnam and determining how to use available resources to make the greatest impact in the lives of those we serve. With many projects planned for the first half of the year and with the hope of many more to be completed in the second half, we ask you to take a look below to see two key ways you can partner with us in changing lives forever in Southeast Asia. English Medical Terminology Courses: |

|
The Need: A majority of medical journals are written in English; it is essential for medical professionals around the world to learn English medical terminology in order to improve themselves professionally and to advance the health care provided to their patients. MEDRIX needs your help to provide textbooks for 22 doctors and nurses attending the English Medical Terminology courses in Hue, Vietnam in March and April. Donate: $50 will provide 1 health professional with a textbook |

Early Detection of Childhood Illnesses: |

|
The Need: Health professionals in Vietnam lack the necessary training to properly diagnose and treat childhood illnesses resulting in many preventable child deaths before the age of five. MEDRIX needs your help to train 22 health professionals between April and June so we can save and improve hundreds of children's lives. Donate: $360 will sponsor 1 health professional to attend this training course, Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI) |

Child Heart Surgeries: |

|
The Need: Thousands of Vietnamese children are born with heart defects and many do not receive the simple surgery required to help them live a healthy and long life. MEDRIX will be providing funds for 2 children from Central Vietnam to receive life-saving heart surgery between March and June of this year. Donate: $1,500 will provide one child with heart surgery |

Training for Health Professionals: |

|
The Need: MEDRIX has been asked to train health professionals in Psychiatry and Nursing Assessment. Doctors and nurses in Vietnam need this training to advance their professional skills, and to benefit their patients and their community. Psychiatry training will be provided to health professionals in HCMC and Hanoi, and nursing assessment training will be provided to nurses in Hue. Donate: $360 will sponsor 1 health professional to attend 1 of these courses |
